Job Title: Internal Compliance Specialist

Reports to: WT/SNAP Program Manager

Position Classification: Non-exempt

Primary Objectives of Position: The Internal Compliance Specialist is responsible for capturing and managing data related to program requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Record WIOA, WT, SNAP and WP data into appropriate systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicates with management and other staff to ensure that the receipt of records is timely.
  • Systematically review records and generate reports to assess data needed to comply with performance requirements.
  • Communicates needed actions to management and staff to ensure that the region exceeds performance in Welfare Transition and SNAP.
  • Utilize Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Physical requirements include carrying/lifting up to 5 pounds, frequently; up to 10 pounds, regularly; and up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to drive an automobile and operate computer keyboard and basic office equipment; subject to carrying, lifting, twisting and reaching to perform essential job functions. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations.

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent related experience is required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in workforce development quality control or case management within Welfare Transition. At least two years' experience of data entry and data review within the One-Stop Service Tracking (OSST), Employ Florida Marketplace (EFM), and/or FLORIDA systems.
Skills/Abilities: Understand the data entry requirements for all funding streams. Understand the recruitment, data entry, and customer requirements for all funding streams. Interpret and understand program policy and establish necessary work processes and procedures. Must be able to set and manage priorities and execute programmatic data entry on a timely basis. Ability to monitor, analyze results, and generate reports across all funding streams. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment. Very strong interpersonal verbal and written communications skills are necessary.
